Induction heating
Introduction to Induction Heating
Induction heating is a widely used technology for high-temperature furnaces, based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. Unlike traditional heating methods, it directly transfers energy into the material through induced current, allowing fast, efficient, and precise heating. It is commonly applied in metallurgy, forging, melting, and heat treatment industries where stable high power output is required.

Working Principle
The core process involves generating an alternating magnetic field via a coil. When conductive material (such as steel or iron cookware) is placed inside, eddy currents are produced, causing rapid self-heating of the material. For high-temperature furnaces above 8kW, half-bridge or full-bridge circuit topologies are typically adopted. The IGBT module acts as the core power switching device, while auxiliary components such as SiC MOSFETs, diode modules, and power modules ensure efficient operation.
Key Advantages of Induction Heating
High Efficiency: Thermal efficiency often exceeds 90%, reducing energy consumption compared to gas or resistance heating.
Precise Control: Advanced control systems and semiconductor devices allow accurate temperature regulation.
Safety: No open flame, reduced risk of fire, and better working environment.
