Introduction to Notebook Adapter Applications

Power adapters are widely used in the power sources of various electrical appliances in daily life, such as notebook chargers and electric vehicle chargers. The core component of the adapter is the AC-DC controller. Due to the presence of high voltage, there are high requirements for the reliability and energy efficiency ratio of the device. Switching control devices play a core role in it. Reasonable device selection can effectively reduce losses, improve reliability and lower EMC.


In response to the demands of modern adapters, the application of Super-Junction technology simultaneously achieves greater current and high-voltage capabilities, and features rapid switching response, higher energy efficiency, and lower heat generation. It can be used in switching applications up to 150KHZ and above, resulting in superior system performance.


The Super-Junction Gen.3 series products feature a faster switching speed, lower conduction loss, and extremely low gate charge (Qg), thereby reducing the power loss of the device and enhancing system efficiency. Meanwhile, due to the adoption of independently innovative technologies, the switching characteristics of the device have been optimized, and the device has better EMI performance in the system. In addition, diverse packaging forms can meet your different needs.
